If any of you are like me, you’re busy, you’re tired, you work, take care of the family and much more! You often neglect yourself to care for others in your life. I was there, going 100mph and not focusing on me or my health. I was getting dressed for a date night one evening, and after the makeup was on and the hair was curled, I didn’t like what I saw. I felt unhealthy, none of my old clothes fit anymore, and I wasn’t confident in my own skin. The next day I decided to make a change... for me! That is when lazy mom keto changed my life.
I initially saw “keto” online when I really dug in. The thought of counting macros and eating fat bombs overwhelmed me. I investigated the low carb lifestyle and made it my own. How did I start? For starters, I cut out most of the processed grains that included all white rice, breads, pasta and baked goods. I basically replaced all those things with low carb veggies. Cauliflower became my rice, zucchini took the place of pasta in my pasta dishes and dark chocolate became a woman’s best friend. I started packing my lunch for work and included protein, a vegetable and a fruit into that meal. One thing that attracted me to low carb was the fact that I could eat cream cheese, sour cream, and mayonnaise! Knowing I had to eat well was one thing, but being active, Ugh! That was another thing, but this lazy momma was determined!
I found a great fitness app on my phone that was realistic! The program was 28 minutes a day, with 3 days of weights and body exercise training and 3 days of cardio throughout the week. I was hooked in no time. The combination of the lazy keto diet and my newfound exercise regime began changing me, not only physically, but mentally also. The dreaded afternoon carb crash that I used to experience everyday was gone. My pants were gradually becoming a little less snug, and people were starting to notice. I was getting questions everyday like, “What are you eating?”, “Are you working out?” and “How can I look like that?" It was really working!
I really do make up my own meal plans and follow a “Lazy” keto diet. I eat tons of fruit like strawberries, blueberries, raspberries (keto), but also bananas and apples (not keto). I also incorporate whole grains into some of my meals. The thing that gave me the biggest bang for my buck was replacing pasta and rice with vegetables and not indulging in cakes and brownies. Pretty simple! I haven’t been able to push this kind of eating onto my husband and kids yet.... But I’m trying! Pinterest is a great place to get some awesome recipe ideas and has been night snack is dark chocolate ganache with strawberries or raspberries. Desserts really are like fine wines; once you have acquired a taste for the healthier ones, your will never turn back.
So grand finale time! I lost a total of 25 lbs. over the course of eight months. This was not a crash diet, so I

losing the weight the right way, and I continue to live my healthy lifestyle. I couldn’t be more excited over the results I achieved. I feel healthy, beautiful and confident in my own skin now! I will no longer avoid my bathroom mirrors, but will stand tall and proud, stretch marks and all. It really is amazing what this change has done for my
